With some of the dreadful reactions I have had to medications I mostly say no to drugs. The psychotropics turn me psycho. I read about addictions and have been through thus…I went off cold turkey with pain medication, antidepressants, anti psychotics, anti anxiety…I do not care to go through anything like that again. If I can get something stronger than an OTC I only want a low dose and do not want to go through what I did in 2010 again. This is where I am currently. Maybe my pain is not as severe as pain is for others. I do know what withdrawal is like and…I have had a good life all in all. I endeavor to be content and learn what I can. I do know what does not work for me.

My MD has prescribed at least 20 different BP drugs for me, but I do not feel that any really worked; and some were so dangerous that I refused to used them more than one or 2 nights, and then would disgard them, especially after reading about the possible side effects. Never tried CBD oil, but my guru nutritionist has given me a bottle of 1200mg organic hemp oil from Veggimins and I have been hesitant to really try it.

It is unclear as to what the optimal dosage of CBD is for anxiety disorders.  Most literature suggests that a single 600 mg dose of CBD is sufficient to alleviate anxiety.  However, the source from which you attain your CBD may make a major difference.  Various companies are selling CBD formatted with nanotechnology and/or co-factors (to maximize bioavailability) and a significantly lesser dose may be required than agents without specialized formatting.

And then I woke up on the concrete, a worried crowd gathered around me. “You had a seizure,” my friend said gently as I blinked my eyes, trying to process this new information.  I remember it was warm that night because I was wearing a sundress, and when I finally regained consciousness my first worry was that my dress flew up and everyone could see my underwear.

A study conducted by Martin-Santos et al. (2012) aimed to compare the acute effects of two notable cannabinoids: CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).  Researchers recruited 16 healthy males and set up a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, cross-over trial.  The 16 participants received three consecutive single-dose agents administered 1-month apart in the following order: 10 mg THC (oral) – first month, 600 mg CBD (oral) – second month, or a placebo – third month.
In terms of cancer, the suggestion is to have three doses of CBD oil each day, and gradually increase the amount to 1 gram per day. The full treatment is believed to take 90 days. Please note that CBD oil is still illegal in many countries, but there is a significant amount of research being done on its medical applications, and a number of reputable sources have put out guides regarding the use of CBD oil for treatment of many diseases.
While these drugs can be effective for many patients, some don’t respond favorably. Certain patients don’t see much improvement, or they can’t tolerate the side effects. Moreover, tranquilizers like Valium and Xanax can be highly addictive. Clearly, alternative treatments are warranted. Could cannabidiol (CBD), the most prominent non-intoxicating constituent in cannabis, provide a viable alternative for currently available anxiety medications? Quite possibly!
Though unflavored and priced higher than competitors, Green Roads CBD oils are made by a trusted manufacturer and use organically grown hemp. I work well under pressure, but being extremely busy at work has almost made me less productive—I'm constantly distracted by email, Slack, and the people around me, to the point where getting my work done becomes difficult. This week, however, I've found it easier to put my blinders on, block out all distractions (especially social distractions) and focus on one task at a time. I think this is partly related to the lessened anxiety—I feel more frazzled and off task when my anxiety is running high. It almost feels like a newfound sense of clarity and calm that enables me to focus.
Lidicker noted that one study on humans, published in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology, showed that CBD was able to help with public speaking-induced anxiety. She also pointed to a clinical trial that started in August at a hospital in Massachusetts, in which researchers are administering 10 mg of CBD three times a day for a month to test its effects on patients with anxiety.
It took him seven years and tens of millions of dollars to transform a raw plant into a mainstream medical drug. Perry Davidson is the creator of the Syqe Inhaler – a new technology that allows doctors and patients to precisely dose pharmaceutical quality ‘cannabis flos’ by inhalation. After all these years of hard work, according to Davidson ‘it is still something worthwhile waking up each morning for’. Read the full interview at:https://bit.ly/2x4uKXR ... See MoreSee Less
CBD Oil with THC – This type of oil isn’t legal in all states, and has a different effect than pure CBD oil. Many people take marijuana for the effects of THC, as it helps them to battle different medical conditions. They believe that the two combined provide an enhanced experience that exceeds the beneficial properties of taking one over the other (i.e. just taking THC or CBD by themselves). It is important to note that THC can counter the benefits of CBD, and therefore correct dosing is essential.
Update 12 October 2018 - Cannabis-based medicinal products will be able to be prescribed by specialist doctors for conditions including epilepsy following a change in the law laid in parliament. From 1 November 2018 specialists, such as neurologists, will be able to prescribe medicinal cannabis on a case-by-case basis where the patient has an unmet special clinical need that will not respond to licensed medications. Anyone who is under a specialist should discuss their treatment plan with them.
When all is said and done, CBD oil is of course relatively new compared to traditional medicine, and therefore a patient with sleep trouble should always discuss CBD with a qualified healthcare professional before using. Also, as we have mentioned it’s important to understand that CBD has not been a clinically-verified form of treatment for insomnia.

GPR55 antagonism: GPR55 (G-protein-coupled receptor 55) is a receptor expressed predominantly within the caudate nucleus and putamen.  It is often referenced as an atypical cannabinoid receptor due to the fact that it is activated by cannabinoids.  A study published in 2015 investigated the role of GPR55 function in anxiety.  Researchers concluded that GPR55 may modulate anxiety-related behaviors in rats.  In the study, it was discovered that GPR55 antagonists lead to increased anxiety.  Cannabidiol is thought to act as a GPR55 antagonist which may improve bone health and decrease proliferation of cancer cells – but may not help anxiety.
Both Bonn-Miller and Ward stress that it's up to the consumer to be well-educated about the material they're purchasing and the research that's out there. "The companies that are creating [cannabis oils] are offering lots of claims about its use that are not necessarily substantiated by any research," Bonn-Miller said. So "I think there needs to be, from a consumer standpoint, a lot of vigilance," he added.
