Tolerance: It is possible that someone who uses CBD oil often could become tolerant to its effects. This is because no drug is capable of bypassing the endogenous homeostatic mechanisms of the human body.  If something were capable of doing so, people could remain on an anxiolytic and/or antidepressant for an indefinite period of time without any decreased efficacy.  Unfortunately, it is likely that if used too frequently, tolerance will ensue and an individual will require greater doses to maintain a therapeutically anxiolytic effect.

A typical range for CBD is 10 – 20 mg of oral doses. CBD products are not very strain focused, so people typically just look at the mg of CBD when making a decision. Thus, the volunteers were all non-smokers and had not taken any medications for at least 3 months before the study. Moreover, none of them had used marijuana more than five times in their lives (no use in the last year) and none had ever used any other illegal drug. All subjects gave their written consent to participate after being fully informed about the research procedures, which were approved by the Hospital das Clínicas de Ribeirão Preto of University of São Paulo ethics committee (HCRP No. 17912/2013).
Hi Celeste. Thanks for your question. I would say as long as you feel comfortable with it, you can increase the dose for sleep to see if it has a stronger effect on your insomnia. You can carefully increase the dosage by another half or full dropper-full and see if that helps. In regard to how much to take during the day, how much are you currently using during the day?

However I always remind everyone to speak with a doctor and stop using CBD if you experience any negative side effects. As you said, CBD may not be the right supplement for you. I recommend you speak to a doctor to make sure everything is okay with you. While this isn’t medical advice, if you stop using CBD and you notice the negative effects go away, then I would stay away from using CBD. Hi Eric, sorry to hear you are suffering. In regards to the oils, i am no doctor and tried a few before i found what works best for me. I think it depends on your condition and genetics. For example, I use green roads and it is extremely effective, but it doesn’t work for my wife. I think you have to find the one that works for you. Maybe someone else can who has more experience can also help.
